[origin: WO9819953A1] The invention concerns a spool of a plastics material for reception thereon of a windable material, such as, e.g., tape, cable, wire and the like, comprising two end discs (1) and a tubular core (2) extending between said end discs to keep them spaced mutually apart. In accordance with the invention, the end discs (1) and the core (2) are formed with portions of complementary configuration, said complementary portions being fitted into one another upon assembly of said spool while using the resilience of the plastics material.
