Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9911969A1] The invention concerns a motor vehicle headlight comprising a light source (10) mounted in a reflector (20), and a mirror (41). The reflector is mounted pivoting about a generally vertical axis and displacing means are provided for varying the reflector angular position. The invention is characterised in that the reflector is capable of taking up at least a first angular position ( alpha 1) wherein the beam emitted by it passes through a first mirror (41) to generate a first type of beam, and as second angular position ( alpha 2), fixed and distinct from the first position(s), wherein the beam passes through a second mirror (42); the headlight also comprises optical means (421; 422; 131) for generating through said second mirror (42) a fixed beam of different photometry from that of the beam passing through the first mirror (41). The invention is applicable in particular to headlights with double function for curves and as fog headlight.
