Abstract (en)

The method for pressure casting of metals, according to which the metal is poured or placed into a hollow cylinder lined with a ceramic sleeve and is subsequently pressed into a die, is characterized by the fact that the sleeve (3) is inductively heated to approximately the casting temperature of the metal and, if necessary, subjected to mechanical vibrations. The claimed apparatus is characterized by the presence of an inductor (9) between the sleeve (3) and the hollow cylinder (2) in such a way that it surrounds the sleeve.

Bei einem Verfahren zum Vergießen von Metallen unter Druck wird das Metall in einen mit einer keramischen Buchse ausgekleideten Hohlzylinder eingegossen oder eingelegt, der mit einer Gießform verbunden ist, in die das Metall mittels eines Kolbens gepreßt wird. Um einen möglichst störungsfreien Druckgießverlauf bei gutem Gießergebnis zu erreichen, wird die Buchse zumindest während des Kolbenvorschubs induktiv auf etwa Gießtemperatur des Metalls gehalten und gegebenenfalls mittels hochfrequenter Schallwellen beaufschlagt. <IMAGE>
