[origin: EP0936326A1] The base section (45), for scaffolding, has at least one extruded light metal profile with a longitudinal orientation. The base profiles are locked together at their ends by connections with lateral steel stiffening profiles, and the end connections can be bonded to the base profiles without molten metal bonds or hot welded joints. Longitudinal reinforcement box beams can have longitudinal seam-bonded connectors between them at the upper walls of the base profiles, and grips which give a hold behind the lower wall.
