Abstract (en)
The method depends upon the correct functioning of an appliance for a time period sufficient to achieve a given result, if this result is not realized, the appliance is stopped , and a second appliance is started for a second period of time to achieve the given result, if the result is realized the first appliance is deduced to be faulty. If after the second time period has elapsed, the result is not achieved, another appliance is operated in parallel with the second appliance, which may eventually be the first appliance. The appliances may be a pumps, fans or compressors.

Dans ce procédé de contrôle du bon fonctionnement d'un appareil destiné à véhiculer du fluide dans une installation, on fait fonctionner un appareil et s'il n'obtient pas un résultat souhaité au bout d'une durée donnée, on fait fonctionner un autre appareil et on déduit de ce fonctionnement, si le premier appareil est défectueux ou non. <IMAGE>
