Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0936590A2] The system has a traffic flow simulator (1) having a memory loaded with a digital road network map (2). The simulator receives input from sensors, such as inductive loops (3) set in the road surface that signal vehicle positions. The simulation computer generates a real time simulation that is updated using the measured data.
