[origin: WO9715360A1] The novelty of the braking system is that the brakes (which are mounted in the boot) are operated by the toes. Fitted inside the boot tip is a pedal which is pressed downwards by the toes. In addition, levers urge the brake members onto the rollers from above such that the rollers are braked. The braking force on the front rollers is metered to ensure manoeuvrability during the braking process.
