[origin: EP0937547A2] The fastening element such as nail or screw is at least partly contained in a sleeve with plate washer. A hammering-in tool is movably mounted on the frame (14,16) along a vertical axis (50). An upright magazine (40) beside the hammering-in tool contains a row of horizontal, superimposed fastening elements pointing in the same direction. The dispenser end (45) of the magazine has a separating unit (41,55) controlled by the hammering-in tool. A transfer unit (70) transfers the separated fastening elements to a container (60) for a fastening element whose lower track-end (67) runs to one side away from the vertical axis. The appliance travels by means of rollers (4,5) on a base plate (1).
