Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0937791A2] The filament bundle (4) from the spinneret (3) is first cooled by a transverse airflow from a blowing arrangement (10). It is then cooled in an independent second cooling zone by a flow of humidified air induced (8) in a direction opposite to the filament motion. An Independent claim is also included for a melt spinning arrangement with an air suction device (8) between the upper (6) and lower cooling chimney (7).
