Abstract (en)
The warp tensioner, at a loom, has a carrier (5) with a number of tensioners (7) for the warps, together with a drive (8). The drive (8) has a motor (9) and a kinetic chain linked to the carrier (5) so that the force transmission into the carrier (5) is symmetrical to its longitudinal line in a swing and/or translatory movement. The drive (8) has an open kinetic chain, linked to the carrier (5) to transmit the force symmetrically according to the position of the warps and the warp width. The motor (9) is connected to the chain to operate the carrier (5) in cycles. The kinetic chain has a crank drive (14) linked to the motor (9) and the carrier (5). An intermediate member is parallel to the carrier (5), with parallel links to the crank drive (14) and the carrier (5). A second intermediate member, parallel to the carrier (5), is between the first member and the carrier with parallel links to the first intermediate member and the carrier. The crank drive (14) has an adjustment to set its eccentricity. A control operates the motor (9) according to the start-up time, the running time and/or the torque within a weaving cycle. The carrier (5) is held in a holder, to give the carrier a vertical movement through a drive. The warp tension control is integrated into the loom control unit. An Independent claim is also included for a weaving machine using the warp tensioner.
