Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0937804A2] In the first stage of continuous wet treatment process of fabric piecegoods (10), the fabric is mangled evenly so that the medium in the second stage can penetrate it. The wet fabric is allowed to dwell between the second treatment stage and batching. In the second stage, the treatment fluid is applied to the fabric in a volume which is more than 100% in relation to the weight of the dry fabric (10). The application is by addition without liquid exchange. The separate penetration is through suction. The fabric dwells in a dwell zone (20) with a roller assembly (27-29). As the fabric (10) passes round the rollers, the centrifugal forces move the residual treatment fluid within the fabric alternately to one surface and then to the opposite surface. An Independent claim is included for a bleaching assembly with an initial stage for wet bleaching and a following mangle (1) to dry the wet fabric (10) consistently. Here, the second wet bleaching stage (3) is followed by a suction system to give penetration of the liquid through the material. A dwell zone (20) for the bleached fabric is between the suction penetration system and the batching stage (30).
