Abstract (en)
The wooden panel is assembled from a number of wooden strips linked by interlocking profiles and held together by tensile ties. The construction has hollow spaces running parallel to the strips, for weight reduction. The wooden strips are each made from quartered wood with the sub strips aligned with the grain at right angles to the outer edges of the strip, ie. each grain quadrant faces outwards. A hollow space is positioned in the centre of each set of four quadrant strips.
