[origin: WO9818538A2] The present invention pertains to a device for continuous fractionation of gas by adsorption, a device for checking its operating state in a processor-controlled adsorption drying unit, and a processor-controlled method for checking the operating state of said unit with two adsorbent beds (1, 2) wired to each other, whereby a regenerating process is conducted using a regenerative gaseous flow. The system comprises a gas inlet (3), a gas outlet (6) and an induced current output (11), all connected to a common functional block (16) which comprises a pipe wiring, a first (4) and a second (5) two-way valves and, possibly, other components. The device for checking the operating state and the inventive device are so compact designed that, since there are integrated in each other, they are little bulky and can be assembled at a low cost. The checking method is adapted to the checking device concerned in the sense that only some components are needed for its implementation which, consequently, is either costly nor space demanding.
