[origin: DE19647184A1] The invention relates to a suction module for an internal combustion engine comprising an air suction pipe (8) made of synthetic material and a flange joint at the air intake on the cylinder head housing (2) of the internal combustion engine. The air suction pipe (3) is a one piece blown element of synthetic material, wherein the air suction pipe (8) lies in a housing element (7) of the suction module and the air escape (11) of the air suction pipe (8) is guided in a connecting area of the housing element (7) towards the cylinder head housing (2). A flange (10) is lodged in the connecting area of the housing element (7) with the cylinder head housing (2), said flange forming a single piece with the housing element (7) and enabling the housing element (7) to seal the air intake of the cylinder head housing when inserted.
