[origin: WO9911983A1] An air conditioner comprising, a main body (1) of an air conditioner having a rear plate (4), a heat exchanger (5) accommodated in the main body (4) of the air conditioner, an air cleaner (12) disposed on a front surface of an upper portion of the heat exchanger (5) so as to be accommodated in the main body (1) of the air conditioner, and a securing plate (21) and a plurality of fixing screws (22a, 22b, 22c) for integrally connecting and securing the heat exchanger (5) and the air cleaner (12) to each other and joining and securing the heat exchanger (5) and the air cleaner (12) to the rear plate (4). Since the present invention is structured such that the securing plate (21) and a plurality of fixing screws (22a, 22b, 22c) secures both of the heat exchanger (5) and the air cleaner (12), the number of elements can be reduced. Moreover, appropriate intervals can be maintained among the heat exchanger, the air cleaner (12) and the rear plate (4). Therefore, the assembling operation can be facilitated and the assembling accuracy can be improved.
