Abstract (en)
The appliance has a screening device (1) to separate the air from the coating material curtain. The device has two air exchange surfaces (a,b). These are positioned at an adjustable distance (2,3) to carrier (D) resp. curtain (E), and close to the contact line (F) of the coating material on the carrier. The screening device also has two chambers (A,B), separated by a wall (c) and each connected to an air supply device.

Beim Vorhangbeschichten eines bewegten Trägers mit einer flüssigen Beschichtungszusammensetzung führt die vom Träger mitgeführte Luft zur Verminderung der Beschichtungsqualität. Eine Abschirmvorrichtung die die Kontaktlinienströmung des frei fallenden Flüssigkeitsvorhangs beeinflußt, vermindert den Einfluß der vom Träger mitgeführten Luft. <IMAGE>
