Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0938935A2] The appliance has a screening device (1) to separate the air from the coating material curtain. The device has two air exchange surfaces (a,b). These are positioned at an adjustable distance (2,3) to carrier (D) resp. curtain (E), and close to the contact line (F) of the coating material on the carrier. The screening device also has two chambers (A,B), separated by a wall (c) and each connected to an air supply device.
