[origin: EP0938958A1] The cutting segment (16) for a circular saw has the shape of a parallelepiped rectangle with a height greater than 5 mm. It has several stages (17-19), the width of the segment decreasing by successive steps (11) from the cutting face (4) to its foot (5). The step (11) between one stage and the immediately lower stage of reduced width is parallel to the cutting face and extended by one or more protuberances (20). This protuberance has a width equal to the width of the upper stage (17,18) and extends over a portion of the length and height of the lower stage (18,19).
