A cold conductor structure is produced by fixing an insulating ceramic plate (1) to each side of a positive temperature coefficient of resistance (PTC) metal layer (2) with a solder or adhesive layer (3). Independent claims are also included for the following: (i) a cold conductor structure produced as described above, the ratio of the total cross-sectional area of the solder or adhesive layers to the cross-sectional area of the metal layer being less than 4/5, especially 0.12; and (ii) a current limiter consisting solely of the above cold conductor structure.

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Kaltleiteranordnung sowie eine Kaltleiteranordnung mit wenigstens einer Metallschicht, deren elektrischer Widerstand einen positiven Temperaturkoeffizienten aufweist und zur elektrischen Isolation beidseitig zu ihren zwei gegenüberliegenden Hauptflächen jeweils eine Keramikplatte vorsieht, sowie mit wenigstens einem Kühlelement, das mit einer Keramikplatte in thermischen Kontakt steht. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß die Metallschicht an ihren zwei Hauptoberflächen jeweils mit den Keramikplatten mittels einer Lot- oder Klebeschicht. miteinander fest verfügt wird. <IMAGE>
