[origin: EP0940198A2] The appliance has a drive unit (6), control system (7) and two bending units (2,3), with bending tools (4a,b,c,5,11) for a first and second bending function. The two units are moveable relative to each other, so that one can be moved out of the bending space of the other, by lifting and/or lowering. First unit tools can be moved away from the work piece (31). The first unit has rollers running in rails, moving orthogonal to the advance direction of the workpiece, the second unit has an advance slide (35) for the workpiece.
