[origin: EP0940228A2] The screw extractor (1) has a notch to increase the torque introduced into the screw stub. This notch has a clamp flank (14) as leading flank, which is formed by a number of closely neighbouring faces with the triangular cross sections of a multi-pitch triangular thread. The notch cuts across the threads (7) non-centrally and offset, so that the angle between the clamp flank and the tangent on the circumferential edge of the clamp flank is 90 degrees plus/minus 20 degrees .
