[origin: EP0940504A2] A street cleaning vehicle has a number of suction jets (18) held closely over the surface of the road behind the vehicle. The jets are vertical and are connected to corrugated flexible ducts (36) which run vertically into the top of the collecting tank. The upper sections (38) of the ducts separate from the lower sections when the container is opened and tipped. O-ring seals (44) between the ducts ensure a good suction effect.
