[origin: EP0940548A2] The rabbet covering bar (10) for a door or window frame, and especially a plastics frame where the hollow profiled frame beam (11) has a side surface (12) towards the neighboring frame beam (13) of a second frame, has a projecting cladding (15) in the rabbet zone (14) between the frames. The covering bar (10) covers the side surface o(12) of the frame beam (11) and the adjacent cladding surface (15) at least partially by an L-shaped profile (16), held in place at the side surface (12) by interlocking mounting ribs (17,18) and grooves (19). The L-shaped profile (16) of the covering bar (10) is produced in one piece by rolling a steel strip material.
