In the internal combustion motor, with a crankcase (10) and oil sump (16) and cylinder head (12), an inner wall (30) separates the interior (20) of the crankcase (10) from a channel linking the oil sump (16) with the cylinder head (12). The structure forms two channels (28,29) on opposite sides of the crankcase (10). A section (36) of the wall (30), away from the oil sump (16), can be broken away to give a connecting window between the crankcase (10) and the channels (28,29). The crankcase (10) can be produced by LostFoam (RTM) molding or by gravity die-casting.

Die Erfindung betrifft Brennkraftmaschine mit mehreren Zylindern in einem Zylinderkurbelgehäuse (10), welches an einer Unterseite von einer Ölwanne (16) und an einer Oberseite von einem zylinderkopf (12) abgeschlossen ist, wobei seitlich in dem Zylinderkurbelgehäuse (10) ein die Ölwanne (16) mit dem Zylinderkopf (12) verbindender Kanal vorgesehen ist, welcher über eine vorbestimmte Länge mittels einer Kanalwandung (30) von einem Innenraum (20) des Zylinderkurbelgehäuses (10) abgetrennt ist. Hierbei sind wenigstens zwei Kanäle (28,29) beidseitig gegenüberliegend außen im Zylinderkurbelgehäuse (10) ausgebildet, wobei an einem von der Ölwanne (16) abgewandten Ende der Kanalwandung (30) ein heraustrennbarer Wandabschnitt (36) derart vorgesehen ist, daß bei z. B. Herausbrechen dieses Wandabschnittes (36) ein Verbindungsfenster zwischen dem Innenraum (20) des Zylinderkurbelgehäuses (10) und dem Kanal (28,29) ausgebildet ist. <IMAGE>
