[origin: EP0940574A2] In the internal combustion motor, with a crankcase (10) and oil sump (16) and cylinder head (12), an inner wall (30) separates the interior (20) of the crankcase (10) from a channel linking the oil sump (16) with the cylinder head (12). The structure forms two channels (28,29) on opposite sides of the crankcase (10). A section (36) of the wall (30), away from the oil sump (16), can be broken away to give a connecting window between the crankcase (10) and the channels (28,29). The crankcase (10) can be produced by LostFoam (RTM) molding or by gravity die-casting.
