[origin: DE19650159A1] The invention relates to wiping blade for cleaning the windshields of a motor vehicle, comprising a longitudinal supporting frame which can be fitted to a driven wiper arm. Said frame holds a rubber elastic wiper strip (7) by means of at least two pairs of grippers (4). A single-piece spring track (13) is mounted in the rear strip (8) of the gripper pairs in a traversing channel (12), the length of which corresponds approximately to the length of the wiper strip (7) or the head strip (8). The wiper strip (7), which is fitted with a spring track (13), is stopped lengthwise by two end caps (14) on the supporting frame of the wiper blade, wherein both end caps (14) are stopped lengthwise only on the spring track (13) and are designed as a stop for the supporting frame of the wiper blade or the adjacent outer gripper pairs (4).
