Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9824964A1] To provide protection against keratin pests, keratin-based substrates are treated at between 30 and 110 DEG C and a pH between 2 and 7 in an aqueous bath containing between 1 and 25 ml/l of a liquid formulation. This liquid formulation consists of: a) between 4 and 50 weight percent diphenylurea of the formula (I); b) between 2 and 50 weight percent of one or more tensides of the group of anionic, kationic or nonionic tensides; c) between 30 and 94 weight percent of one or more solvents from the group of straight-chain or branched C1-C12 alkanols and C2-C4 polyols, as well as their monoethers or diethers with C1-C4 alkanols or with C2-C4 diols, of the C3-C6 ketones, the C1-C6 carboxylic acids, the N-(C1-C4-alkyl)-lactams with between 5 and 8 ring links, dimethyl sulfoxide or a mixture of several of these, whereby between 1 and 25 percent of their weight may be substituted by water; and d) between 0 and 10 weight percent of a standardizing agent from the group of phosphates, polyphosphates, iminodisuccinic acid, hydroxy-iminodisuccinic acid, polyaminosuccinic acid, ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid, the aromatic sulfonic acids, urea and urea derivatives, whose H-atoms may be partly or fully substituted by C1-C4 alkyl or phenyl, sodium sulfate, ammonium sulfate and formaldehyde condensates, whereby all percentage indications refer to the total weight of the liquid formulations.
