[origin: DE19743103A1] The invention relates to a heat protective jacket (11) for a fuel injection valve (5) which can be inserted in a locating hole (2) of the cylinder head (1) of an internal combustion engine. Said jacket has a body (12) which at least partially surrounds the nozzle body (9) of the fuel injection valve (5). The injection side (18) of the jacket body (12) exhibits an inclined segment (19), where said jacket body (12) has two layers, and a conical segment (20) which is tapered in the direction of the injection end (18) and which tightly fits into a tapered section (10) of the valve body (2) when mounted.
