Abstract (en)
A filter tow strip is extracted from a store and spread out along a conveyor section where the filter material is sprayed with fluid and finally gathered up to reduce the strip width. On at least one stretch (3,6,7) of the conveyor section the filter tow strip (1) is exposed to an air current (24,32,39) flowing in the filter tow strip's direction of travel and situated in a wind-tunnel (23,31,38). The air current flow speed at least approximately matches that of the filter tow strip

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Aufbereitungsanordnung für Filtertow zum Herstellen von Zigarettenfiltern, mit einer Reckeinrichtung (8, 12), einer Auftrageinrichtung (4) für ein Sprühmittel und einer Raffeinrichtung (16, 22). Es ist das Ziel, den Aufbereitungsprozeß in dem jeweiligen Förderstreckenabschnitt (3 bzw. 6 bzw. 7) des Filtertowstreifens (1) zu unterstützen und zu optimieren. Erreicht wird dies durch eine in einem Windkanal (23; 31; 38) parallel und in Förderrichtung (Pfeil 2) des Filtertowstreifens erzeugte Luftströmung (24; 32; 39). Durch eine derartige laminare Luftströmung werden Luftverwirbelungen unterbunden und die jeweilige Reckung, Entspannung oder Raffung des Filtertowstreifens definiert durchgeführt. <IMAGE>
