[origin: EP0941682A2] The Easter tree consists of an olive or other tree (2), either natural or synthetic with folding or detachable branches, mounted on a base (1) which forms a support for Easter eggs. The tree is decorated with ornaments symbolic of Easter, such as eggs (4), bells (5), doves and lambs, which can be edible confections of chocolate or sugar, or of glass, plastic or paper. The base can be made from wood, ceramic, plastic or other material and used separately from the tree to hold eggs, a flower vase or candle.
