Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0941684A2] The curtain or blind consists of three layers, a perforated first layer (12), straight inner layer and third layer (13) of a soft synthetic material. The whole system is fixed to the ceiling with a rail carrying element and is divided into several segments by horizontally positioned seams. The curtain can be opened with a string, reel, or belt mechanism (16,18). The noise enters through the perforated layer, is reflected by the soft layer and is absorbed to a substantial degree within the partition.
