The device working with a fluid pump (4), a cylinder (5), and a piston (20) is equipped with a mechanism which indicates the actual position of the piston (20). The distance between a front of the cylinder (22,23) and the piston (20), is indicated by a unit consisting of a sound sensor and a magnet, a laser interference or a laser diffusion distance sensor with a reflection zone. The degree of pressure necessary for a certain job is under permanent control.

Eine Hubzylinder-Vorrichtung umfasst eine Fluidpumpe (4), einen an diese anschliessend angeordneten Zylinderteil (5) und einen im Zylinderteil (5) vom Druckfluid der Fluidpumpe (4) vorschiebbaren und von einem Rückstellelement (20a) rückstellbaren Kolbenteil (20). Eine Kolbenstange (6) ist als Betätigungsorgan aus dem Zylinderteil (5) geführt. Die Hubzylinder-Vorrichtung umfasst zudem eine Positions-Messvorrichtung (12, 12a; 112; 212, 212a), welche die Kolbenposition über einen Positionierbereich kontinuierlich erfassbar macht. Die erfindungsgemässe Hubzylinder-Vorrichtung ist ein vielseitig einsetzbares Betätigungsmodul, das in Kolbenvorschub-Richtung grosse Kräfte bereitstellbar macht und aufgrund der Positions-Messvorrichtung (12, 12a; 112; 212, 212a) die effektive Bewegung kontrollierbar macht. Ein Presswerkzeug (13) mit einer solchen Hubzylinder-Vorrichtung kann aufgrund des Vergleichs einer erfassten maximalen Vorschubsposition mit einem vorgegebenen Grenzvorschub die Qualität der Pressung charakterisieren. <IMAGE>
