[origin: EP0941816A1] The cutting machine (1) with transport mechanism (6) and two cutting stations for cutting alongside and at the bottom and at the top of the book or magazine, is equipped with three stationary counter blades (5) and three movable blades (3) joined to the stationary blades (5) from below. The movable blades (3) move from below towards the stationary blades (5). No upper frame is needed, the view on the item (41) to be cut is not blocked, there is no easier access to the blades (3,5) for exchange and more pressure can act on the blades (3).
