Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0941957A2] The device locks a pair of frame sections (10,12), where connection plates on one end of one section are insertable into another end of another frame section. The device has a locking mechanism close to the end of each ladder-type frame section that does not have connection plates. The locking mechanism comprises a locking bar (36), which slides at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the ladder section into or out of two holes (26) in the opposing side sections (14) of the frame and holes (24) in connection plates (18) pushed into a lower ladder section from an upper ladder section to lock the sections together. The mechanism can have an actuating lever (32).
