[origin: EP0942135A1] The locking system relates to doors with a main lock (2) and one or more back-up locks (3) linked by a drawbar (11). The drawbar is coupled to a door opening mechanism (35) provided with an electromechanical or electromagnetic drive. The closing device incorporates an energy store, e.g. a spring, which is compressed when the door is closed, and when released, operates the drawbar to unlatch the door.
