Abstract (en)
The engine incorporates a cylinder block (1) containing a crankshaft linked to pistons by connecting rods. There is a sump housing (3) and an anti-splash screen (6) to prevent the oil in the sump from contacting the crankshaft and connecting rods. The screen is held in place by a series of lugs (10) clamped between the lower edge of the cylinder block and the corresponding upper edge of the sump housing. The lugs fit into a groove in the sump housing seal (5), and recesses in the screen are shaped to engage with the crankshaft bearing (12) caps.

Moteur à combustion interne du type comportant un carter-cylindres (1) à l'intérieur duquel est logé un vilebrequin relié à des pistons par des bielles, un carter d'huile 3 et des moyens formant écran anti-barbotage (6) pour empêcher la nappe d'huile contenue dans le carter d'huile de venir au contact du vilebrequin et des bielles, caractérisé en ce que lesdits moyens formant écran (6) sont immobilisés en position simplement par pincement d'une pluralité de pattes de maintien (10) entre le bord inférieur (2) du carter-cylindres (1) et le bord (4) correspondant du carter d'huile (3). <IMAGE>
