[origin: EP0942174A1] A centrifugal or helico-centrifugal ventilator wheel has a series of blades (3) fixed in place on a supporting structure with two or more coaxial discs (2A,2B) and reinforcing rings (21A,21B) of wound filaments. Each of the discs contains a core layer (5) of a material offering high resistance to compression sandwiched between inner (6A,6B) and outer (7A,7B) skins of a composition material such as multilayer fabric of impregnated synthetic fibers.
