[origin: DE19744746A1] Two concentric tubes (3,4) inside the cylindrical chambers (1,2) telescope into each other and have openings (5,6) at their front and rear ends to allow the fluid components (11,12) to enter the tubes and flow to a mixer (10) at the cartridge outlet (9). When pressure is applied to a rear piston (8) the rear tube (4) is pushed forward and with a broadened area at the front moves a front piston (7) towards the outlet (9). Simultaneous movement of both pistons forces both fluid components (11,12) through the openings (5,6) and along the tubes. Chamber (1,2) dimensions allow materials to be metered using a standard pistol cartridge. For metering components with a mixing ratio widely differing from a 1:1 ratio the outer diameter of the rear chamber is similar to the internal diameter of the cartridge pistol and the outer diameter of the front chamber is less than that of the rear chamber.
