[origin: US6174534B1] The invention relates to a composition and method for preventing and/or treating rosacea, which includes a cosmetic composition containing at least from 1 to 5% of a C12-C24 fatty acid, from 5 to 15% of an ester of C12-C24 fatty acid and of a C2-C3 polyalkylene oxide fragment containing from 2 to 100 polyalkylene oxide residues, from 1 to 20% of an optionally polyoxyalkylenated C12-C22 fatty acid glyceride containing from 0 to 20 ethylene oxide residues, from 1 to 20% of an ester of a C12-C24 fatty acid and of a C1-C6 alcohol, from 0.1 to 10% of glycerol, from 0.1 to 3% of a C12-C24 fatty alcohol and water, where the composition is free of metronidazole, lanthanide, tin, zinc, manganese, yttrium, cobalt, barium strontium salt, and non-photosynthetic filamentous bacteria.

L'invention a pour objet l'utilisation pour la prévention et/ou le traitement de la rosacée d'une composition cosmétique comprenant au moins de 1 à 5 % d'un acide gras en C12-C24, de 5 à 15 % d'un ester d'acide gras en C12-C24 et d'un fragment polyoxyde d'alkylène en C2-C3 comportant de 2 à 100 résidus polyoxyde d'alkylène, de 1 à 20 % d'un glycéride d'acide gras en C12-C22 éventuellement polyoxyalkyléné comportant de 0 à 20 résidus oxyde d'éthylène, de 1 à 20 % d'un ester d'un acide gras en C12-C24 et d'un alcool en C1-C6, de 0,1 à 10 % de glycérol, de 0,1 à 20 % d'un ester d'un acide gras en C12-C24 et d'un alccol en C1-C6, de 0,1 à 10 % de glycérol, de 0,1 à 3 % d'un alcool gras en C12-C24, cette composition comprenant de l'eau et ne comprenant pas de métronidazole.
