Abstract (en)
A method for removing burrs from the cut ends of metal strip eg. injection casting, has a rotating cylinder whose surface (26) is pressed onto the burrs (4) by a hydraulic servo drive. The surface of the cylinder can be replaced and is covered with an array of metal studs which buff the burrs. The axis of the cylinder is further mounted on a control arms which contacts the hydraulic ram mounting via a cam, to vary the position of the cylinder.

Die Vorrichtung zum Entfernen eines Bartes (4) an einer Schnittkante (3) eines stranggegossenen Halbzeugs (1) umfasst einen Rotationskörper (21), der um eine in ihrer Position veränderbare Drehachse (22) rotierbar und dessen Oberfläche (26) mit dem Bart (4) in Kontakt bringbar ist. Ein Mittel (20) zum Anpressen der Oberfläche (26) mit einer vorgegebenen Anpresskraft (P1) an die Schnittkante (3) mit dem Bart (4) ist vorgesehen. Das Mittel ermöglicht ein kontrolliertes Anpressen. Durch die Kontrolle der Anpresskraft wird ein sowohl für die Entbartungsvorrichtung als auch für das Halbzeug schonendes Entbarten ermöglicht. <IMAGE>
