[origin: EP0944131A2] The connection element has a rail piece (3) that fits on the top side of a busbar and a spring-mounted clamping part (11) for clamping the conductor against the busbar, which is movably held in place on the opposite side of the busbar by a compression spring (7). The clamp part is a pressure piece, pressing the conductor to make contact with the top side of the busbar. The pressure piece is detachably fixed in a tiltable holder (17,18) at a distance above the support surface (4,5) of the rail piece for the busbar, against the force of the pressure spring. In an open setting, the piece can be locked in a sloping position, such that the direct pressing of the pressure part at the electric conductor with the fitting of the rail piece on the busbar releases the fixing.
