Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0944139A2] A coaxial plug includes an inner conductor (8) and an insulating part (9) for supporting and centring the inner conductor. The insulating part (9) abuts against a stop or shoulder piece when inserted into the outer conductor housing (2), and the maximum clear outer width of the rearward end (17) of the insulating part (9) is at least equal to the inner width of the outer conductor housing (2), to enable fixture of the insulating part (9) by springy clamps (20,21) at its rearward end (17) and retention in the outer conductor housing (2) by force fit. The inner conductor (8) inserted into the insulating part (9) has a central section (13) where it is fixed by the springy clamps (22,23) of the frontal end of the insulating part (9) by force fit in the latter part.
