[origin: DE19651351A1] A mixture containing as active agent a) 0.01 - 99.99 wt. % of at least one 2-alkylisothiazolin-3-on or at least one derivative thereof, or a mixture of at least one 2-alkylisothiazolin-3-on and at least one derivative thereof and b) 0.01 - 99.99 wt. % of a further, microbicidally effective compound, whereby the sum of a) and b) comes to 100 wt. % of the active agent of the mixture. It is characterized in that the at least one 2-alkylisothiazolin-3-on, or the at least one derivative thereof, has an octanol -water distribution coefficient (logPOW) of 3 to 5.
