[origin: EP0945157A2] The board consists of a number of rectangular panels (1) with recessed roadways (2), which are bordered by flat sections (3) not suitable for cars. The edges of the panels have dovetail type connector elements (5a,5b) to form a larger road layout. The panels consist of solid wood, plywood, or chipboard, and the roadways are formed by cutting away material. Alternatively, the panels may be of plastics and tracks may be formed by moulding or impressing. The connectors are formed by tongues and grooves. The panels also have plug holes (6) for barriers (9), trees (10), pedestrians (11), houses (12), etc.
