Each opening (12) in the surface of the roller is connected by a duct (13) to an air-container (10) which is sealed at least in the roller's peripheral direction. The air container is selected in relation to the operational speed of the roller so that the rise in pressure is less than 50 millibars. The air container in an axial and/or radial direction extends further than the duct.

Es wird eine Rollenwicklerwalze angegeben mit einer elastischen Oberflächenschicht (8) auf einem Kern (2), in deren Oberfläche (14) Öffnungen (12) angeordnet sind. Mit einer derartigen Walze möchte man das Risiko des Aufschwimmens der Materialbahn auch bei höheren Geschwindigkeiten verringern können. Hierzu steht jede Öffnung (12) über einen Kanal (13) mit einem Luftaufnahmevolumen (10) in Verbindung, das zumindest in Umfangsrichtung der Walze (1) abgeschlossen ist. <IMAGE>
