Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0945538A1] The fabric (4) is loaded into the vessel (1) using air or a steam/air mixture at 80 degrees C to drive the circulating jet (12). The vessel is closed and steam at e.g. 120 degrees C is introduced as an initial treatment. The fabric is allowed to cool before the normal wet treatment is commenced. An Independent claim is also included for a pressure vessel (1) fitted with a jet (12) for circulating a fabric which has an additional connection (21) for introducing steam. A steam injection connection (21a) can also be provided for the gas circuit used to circulate the fabric.
