[origin: WO9828139A1] The invention relates to a folding jaws cylinder which adjusts automatically the folding jaws (7, 13) according to the changing thickness of the product when production is started. This is done by a dual working cylinder-piston unit (32) placed between a first and a second rotational carrier (3, 8) of the folding jaw members. A first chamber (37) of said unit is filled with liquid and linked to a hydraulic accumulator (42) by means of a flow control valve (42). Compressed air is guided to a second chamber (38) of said unit from an external compressed air storage.
