A composite fabric with mutually joined superimposed layers comprising at least one first layer (1) and at least one second layer (2) which are mutually joined by means of fibers of yarn (3) which protrude from one of the layers (1) and are inserted through the other one of the layers (2). The fibers (3) are retained in the other one of the layers (2) in order to provide a stable bonding of the layers (1,2). <IMAGE>
