[origin: EP0947651A1] The lock fitting consists of long bolts and an actuating mechanism with at least one toothed sprocket (6) engaging with a rack (7) connected to a bolt. The rack teeth are spaced to ensure a clearance (15) from the sprocket teeth so that a force applied to the rack or the connecting piece between the rack and bolt will cause the rack to press against a thrust surface (18) on the tip (17) of a tooth.
