Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0947653A2] The locking bolt has an actuating mechanism (2) incorporating a reversing pinion (5) for moving racks (6,7) linked to the long bolt connectors (3,4) in opposite directions. The reversing pinion is made with two diametrically opposite toothed sectors (16,17) with different pitch diameters, allowing the racks and connectors to be moved by different amounts when the pinion is turned.
